The level of conductivity is directly proportional to the amount of salts dissolved in water. The conductivity of your nutrient solution is a measurement of its strength, indicated by the actual amount of salts dissolved. 

For accurate readings, the probe must be clean. Keeping your conductivity probe clean will also prolong its lifespan.

The Bluelab Conductivity (CF) Cleaning Kit contains everything you need to clean a conductivity probe. Conductivity standard solution is also included to keep your meter readings accurate.
