Sun System Galaxy Select-A-Watt electronic ballasts are designed to provide serious growers with maximum flexibility and performance. 

The Galaxy 600-1000 Select-a-Watt ballast gives you three ways to utilize its adjustable functions:

Power a 400, 600 or 1000 watt lamp to ANSI specifications. Set the switch to 400 watts, insert a 400 watt lamp into your socket and the ballast will operate the 400 watt lamp. Change the switch to match and operate 600 or 1000 watt lamps.

Use the Galaxy ballast to dim the output of a 1000 watt lamp. Adjust the switch to 400 or 600 watts and the ballast will dim the 1000 watt lamp by 40 or 60%. Lamps are only dimmable on wattages lower than the specified lamp wattage. A 1000 watt lamp can be dimmed down to 600 watt or 400 watt. A 600 watt lamp can be dimmed down to 400 watt, but cannot be over-driven to 1000 watts.

Engage the Turbo Charge feature to increase the output of a 1000 watt lamp (only) by approximately 10%. You will achieve peak performance, but this may decrease your lamp life. Turbo Charge is designed for 1000 watt lamps only. Do not use with 400 watt or 600 watt lamps with the Turbo Charge feature - this can be hazardous.

The Galaxy 600-1000W Select-A-Watt electronic ballast runs on both 120 volt and 240 volt power (simply replace the power cord with the optional 240 volt Smart Volt cord). They burn your choice of HPS (high pressure sodium) or MH (metal halide) bulbs.
