Tempered Glass Safety Lenses
The glass that fits onto the bottom of several HID reflectors helps shield the bulb and reflector interior from moisture and garden residue to ensure longer life. If you vent your reflector's heat, a glass lens is needed to seal the unit.
Some HID reflectors include a tempered glass lens (that sometimes need to be replaced).
Some reflectors do not include the safety glass lens but will accommodate them.
