Mycorrhizal is a soil-dwelling fungus that lives in and around the roots of plants. The fungi and the plants form mutually beneficial associations in which the fungi receive carbohydrates from the plants and the plants receive nutrients and other benefits from the fungi. 

Plant Success Mycorrhizae clings to the plant root and grows out into the soil. The section of the Mycorrhizae that's expanded into the soil acts as an extension of the root system, essentially increasing the root system as it absorbs nutrients and brings them back into the plant root.

This symbiosis relationship promotes healthy plant growth while reducing fertilizer dependence.
