Penetrator Gold first binds with the cuticle layer that surrounds and protects every leaf, then temporarily alters it, to allow full transfer of elements through this protective layer. Penetrator Gold's unique formulation then returns it to normal, upon evaporation, without any damage to this vitally important layer.

This cuticle layer is very important to plants as it protects them from losing excessive moisture through the leaves as well as forming a barrier against fungal, bacterial and viral agents. If this layer is permanently damaged or altered the plant must then rebuild this layer while being susceptible to attack from these agents and at risk from localised burning or transpirational shock through excessive moisture loss.
